As the chief medicine resident at Stroger Hospital of Cook County Health in Chicago, Dr. Hasan Hammo was involved in resident coordination efforts and managed communications between residents and hospital leadership. He performed a variety of inpatient and outpatient activities as well as procedures including lumbar punctures and central line placements. Dr. Hasan Hammo previously spent three years as an internal medicine resident at the hospital.
His experience in medicine includes time as an internal medicine trainee at King Hussein Cancer Center in Amman, Jordan, and work as a general practitioner at Prince Hussein Hospital. Dr. Hasan Hammo rotated through four core medical competencies at Prince Hussein Hospital, including internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and general surgery.
Following his time at Al Ittihad High School, Dr. Hasan Hammo enrolled in the University of Jordan in Amman. He studied medicine at the university’s Faculty of Medicine and graduated with honors. In addition to his medical degree, he received the Dean’s Award for Excellence multiple times.
